FTP and HTTP server for m68k
« on: January 24, 2007, 07:59:43 PM »
Hello!

I'm new here on Amiga.org and recently ported my server suite (incl. YAFS and Snug HTTP server) to AROS. The next step is to make the servers run on my Amiga 1200. What TCP/IP stacks can I use? Are there any freeware alternatives? I'v had requests about porting the FTP server to m68k, that's why I started this thread. Any help and suggestions are welcome! this project will stay in the planning stage for a couple of weeks due to lack of time. But I want to be prepared once I have programming time to spare :) Link to the server suite is: http://xelectrox.homeip.net/files/MSS.zip
Homepage is: http://xelectrox.homeip.net/
And here are some screenshots of the AROS port: http://xelectrox.homeip.net/gallery/Computers/YAFStest.png

Hi, and welcome!
It's awesome that you're actually porting your software to AROS, keep up the good work!

When it comes to Amiga TCP/IP stacks, then thee are some problems. There are several available, but they are commercial. I beleive there is an older version of AmiTCP on Aminet.
Beating the dead horse since 2002.

Hi,

The demo version of AmiTCP 4.0 is probably functional enough. When starting it, there's a short delay and a pop-up requester, but that seems to be the only crippling that has been done to the package.

P.S. Keep up the good work with porting things to AROS!
