Anyone had any luck with the latest update of TFX?

For those who don't know about this, the updates can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/~charlie_x/
 I tried all CPU versions but none of them runs on my BPPC/68040. :-(
 The original version which was released for free runs fine. Does anyone have any tips on how to run the updated version? Because i really like this flight-sim.

soz if you thought this was a proper response...tfx rules...i havn't bothered searching for new flight sims up until now lol, thought i might put my expensive graphics card to some good use lol...

i'd love to rip the midi's too...but the pc version has them buggered up in that .mix file or watever

Wow, I didn't know anyone had updated TFX.  Can scenery files from other flight simulators be coded to work with TFX.

I wish that we had an up to date flight simulator.  I have written to Hyperion asking them to port one of the classic flight simulators to Amiga.  I had in mind X-plane, Flight Unlimited III, or B17-flying Fortress.  They told me that they had interest, but that to purchase the rights to any of these might be cost prohibitive.

There are several freely distributed space simulators for the PC and MAC, I would like to see one of these ported to our Amiga.  Check out Orbiter, http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/orbit.html  or Celestia, http://www.shatters.net/celestia/  Both of these are state of the art simulations, with thousands of followers.  This would be a boost to the sales of new Amigas, and possibly make the machine popular enough for commercial ports. Rally the troops to e-mail these providers asking for Amigas inclusion.

I'm still hoping for a port of Jet Thunder.  It was reported on Amiga Flame that the project founder/main programmer had expressed an interest in porting it to the AmigaOne.

The project still has some way to go yet, so hopefully OS4 will have full OpenGL support and reasonably powerful hardware by the time the game is ready for the end-user.
