Hey McVenco you Said "but since there are probably kids under 18 on this site I won't go into detail"

I am one of those kids 12 infact and ive been using my amiga since i was 9-10.
My first amiga was the a1200 for £3 then the a500 £3 again
and my amiga cd32 that was also £3 at a carboot sale all off the same person.
I may be young and amiga may br before my time but i'm a proud user of amiga i hate windows even though I use it.
C= was about design and capability. Unlike other companies they were about the looks.

Well happy amigaing everyone!!!!

Aha, so you're the Amiga's next generation?! When I was 12, I had a ZX Spectrum, also used my friend's C64, and had to lick tar off t'road for breakfast! Or something!

________
  Hey InTheSand I have a ZX Spectrun + and +2 and a C=16
The old computers are much better than a modern one with the old computer like the a1000 it can be updated quite easy but with modern ones it like oh one thats rubish now its out of date I need something new.

One day I wish C= is back on the market like the old Days when computers were a thing to be proud of so.

there is no next generation, i don't intend on switching this thread into a "we're all screwed with regards to amiga's future" thread, but i remember coming here around that age, and losing all hope in the amiga "advancing"...

it's just going to be nostalgia for the last of amiga's users (and their immediate family) after which there won't be any more amiga. sure it'll last for a while, but it won't last forever

Yetihw: Dont worry. Working in this industry, Im quite used to reactions such as yours. There is no rule that said women cant be interested in technology.

AJCopeland: I write whatever the company needs. For the most part its end-user product documentation. I have to write a range of documentation for end-users, resellers as well as gathering together and correlating the internal documentation for developers. Those guys tend to be great at writing code, but their idea of "documentation" are scribbles on paper, whiteboards or whatever else comes easily to hand.

Time to get on with just that!

@ Mel

Well I'm gonna continue to believe that you're for real. Why?

1. An Amiga buddie that looks like a super-model... i've been hoping to run into one for years (but don't tell the Mrs :nervous:)

2. Other female Amigans could be watching this to see how they would be treated if they joined us

3. I have a sense of humour and wouldn't mind if it was just a bit of fun :-)

:-D Yeah I know I'm a code monkey, documentation just doesn't come naturally once it's been so thoroughly drummed out of you by University, I was amazing at it before I became educated!

Its also time for me to try and drag a specification kicking and screaming out of one our designers.
