You probably missed the whole Miffy thing - but I'm sure DaveP will be attempting to convert you sooner or later... :-)

Miffism started out in Creationists and Dinosaurs

Quote

by DaveP

I believe in Miffy the Rabbit. It fits the pattern of belief, it was a series of stories told when I was young and believed were true. No one has ever told me or proven to me that it is the work of fiction. It has the element of truth in it ( there may be a rabbit called Miffy out there somewhere ) and it taught good language skills and a moral framework ( see Miffy Goes To Hospital ).

Unfortunately insufficient others believe in Miffy so I cannot get a tax rebate, deals on setting up my own TV channel to spread the Word Of Miffy or influence politicians.

I am however allowed to be a persecuted minority. When I tell people that I believe in Miffy the Rabbit they just laugh at me and tell me to grow up. When they try to prove that Miffy the Rabbit doesn't exist I point out that you have to believe and eventually science will evolve to prove the existance of Miffy, it just hasn't got there yet.

In the meantime, Miffy sayes "Go to bed" so why aren't we all asleep? May Miffy have mercy on our sinning souls and bless us as we go into battle against the unbelievers with their unclean souls tainted by Science.

Then for a real catchup the Yet Another Black Eye thread is a good start.

Finally to fill in all the bits do a Search on Miffy and click on Show All Results.

Oh and Miffy is the rabbit in my Avatar. Well thats just a manifestation of Miffy of course....

For complete harmony with Miffy your soul needs to check out Amazon and buy some Miffy books.

The church of Miffy has four members and is growing. In fact it is probably the fastest growing church in the world! 400% growth in a week!

For is it not drawn that Miffy is 12 times the size of a bear and can strangle it with one arm whilst simultaneously scratching his right butt-cheek?

DaveP,

Any idea what happened to that % of Pegasos users using MorphOS thread?

Cheers,
Ian  :-D

No. Some moderator just deleted it as is their perogative.

A certain person decided to bring his personal crusade onto an otherwise interesting thread and thats the last thing I saw about it. I guess it got worse after that or it was bad enough by that point.

Anyway, I got my answers:

1. Those aren't the generally accepted percentages of MOS users in the Pegasos user base

2. There are no accurate stats or means for getting accurate stats on real percentages.

3. Some people don't read what it is about before they post, stopping at the subject line before sounding off.

4. Targhan was offended by my description of his site as having a strange background colour.

@DaveP

I guess it might have been my fault for taking the thread OT... sorry about that!

Anyway, surely MorphOS users register their copy of MorphOS at some point? could stats be taken from this?

Ian :-)

@Ian

I don't know. Wayne is good at PMing people that he thinks have gone OTT and warning them so if you haven't heard I don't think it can be that.

Thats a thought about registration but these folks are "betatesting" MorphOS ( its still in beta ) so probably registration will come with Pegasos II and Cyber/Blizzard versions of MOS.

I was only really shocked at the projection, that roughly 50% of people potentially buying one of these "expensive" PPC boards ( and no I don't include the Phoenix special offer ) were not using MorphOS on it and the implications this had for the AmigaOS market given we are now on an open hardware platform.

@DaveP

Well I pointed out one or two things that may have been seen as trolling I suppose, but I think the thread got out of hand after that (can't be sure tho - I read it on a friday night when I was slightly inebriated! :-))

AmigaONE sales figures would be nice to see as well...

Ian :-)
