What Price could I expect for this lot?
« on: January 04, 2007, 11:33:33 AM »
Hi Guys. I'm considering selling my amiga technologies
A4000T/040/28 MHZ. It also has a picasso 4 graphics card, A PAR card, several hard drives (inc a several gig AV drive for the PAR). What sort of price do you thrink I could get? I'm UK based. It has OS 3.9 on board, and has a CD-rom and HD-floppy.

Cheers for any advice,

Mark

Really depends on the condition of the tower? They are still quite desirable!

Maybe £450-£550, guess could be more if in really good condition.

It's worth as much as anyone is willing to pay for it. Sounds a bit of a put down, but don't take it the wrong way. Alot will depend on where you advertise it & to what lengths you are willing to go to, in order to sell it. It's a big world & shipping Internationally from the UK is very very expensive (why?)
You might also accumalte more selling Key Items as individual Items. Lots of usually sell for less unless you have a real hard-core Amiga-Nut gagging for the whole tomali. :-D

The Picasso IV is worth £150 alone if it has it's flicker fixer as well. The A4KT is definately a possible £500 on it's own as a Standard A4KT.

No dust & shiny lustre will also add to value & original boxes make them Ideal for Collecting Coniseurs!

A shame you're selling but best of luck however it goes for you! :-)
Getting 0lder is Mandatory..... Growing up is an option.

my humble advice .. split the items up.
There's always someone who needs an individual item as they (me) usually already have some bits.

cheers

If you do split that up I would like first dibs on the PAR.

Like others have said, the A4000T is one of the best Amigas to have (especially if someone is dabbling with video).
If it is in good condition you will get quite a lot for it.
Check my thread on the A4000T and get back to us about the condition of your bezel and innards.

Perhaps a silly question but what's the PAR?

The Picasso IV has an onboard flicker fixer, not a separate one. That's one of the things that makes it so expensive.

I'll probably end up chucking it on Ebay. I'll spend some time re-installing software and find out exactly what hardware I put in there. It'll be buyer collects from the UK. Then i'll go back to my old A1200/50 for fun. I won't be Amiga free ;)

Thanks for all your advice gents.
