I remember reading back in the late 80's/early 90's that the Israeli airforce was training pilots on an Amiga based simulator with 3 screens.

No idea what additional hardware was used. I think the
artice was in Amigaworld and really just focused on how
inexpensive the setup was using Amigas versus a full-fledged simulator.

Good luck.

I think I've read that the North Korean air force was trained last year on 1,000 A500s using Falcon and that was all.

i don't know - sounded funny to me.

A decent video toaster setup uses multiple screens... But somehow I don't think that's quite what you meant.

Yes, it can be done, but until there's anything more polished, you have to deal with screens. Both (or more) screens can be visible at the same time, they update automatically etc, but you have to swap screens to get mouse pointer to right screen.

I started to write program, which will change screen to correct one when moving mousepointer on the edge of the screen. It works pretty well, but would need some fine tuning. I made option that you can define left and right screens (for example ibrowse screen is always on right and wb on left) or if you won't define the screens, then it cycles them back and forth. It also places the pointer to other edge when moving to other screen, so it looks like you just drag it from the other to other.

But anyway, remember that there's option in both P96 and CGX that those won't blank the inactive screen. So all screens can be visible all the time. I've tried this with two Zorro gfx-cards at same time and with PCI + Zorro card too. And of course AGA can be the third display too :) And I guess nothing stops you from adding more Zorro cards for example.

For curiosity, we've played dynAMIte with two displays. Other player used joystick and other keyboard. All in one A4000 with two Zorro gfx-cards. Two dynAMItes were started and configured to different displays. We also tried that one plays Payback with joystick, while other uses irc on other monitor. On one A1200, with Zorro gfx-card and TV on AGA. Worked fine.

Yes it' Very possible.

I use 4 monitors at the same time, sometimes 5 (VlabMotion):

CybervisionPPC, Cybervision64, Picasso2, AGA and

VlabMotion. :-D :-D

Works as cool as hell.

Eons ago I picked up a Loel video card.  It had some strange video system that let you do multi monitor stuff just like windows, IE mouse pointer move from one screen to the other w/o switching anything.

I think it was called TIGA and it only works with certain programs and that specific card.  It WAS cool though...

**EDIT**

Ok, just checked up on the BBoH, and the CARD was called TIGA, nicknamed the Lowell.  No clue what the software package was called...

I have a few of these cards from Amiga 2000's that I got from an air traffic control college in the uk. They used to have 2 cards in each Amiga and two monitors connected. Cool stuff!

You mean like SpringMaus (shameless plug).
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else
