Annoying MorphOS problem
« on: December 19, 2006, 06:22:13 AM »
This is now the second time this has happened to me, but I can't remember how I solved it the first time.

MorphOS crashed, and when I rebooted, the CGX bootpic failed to appear and there was instead 2 lines of blue and green garbage text. This is normal, as I normally see it for a fraction of a second before the bootpic comes up. But since the bootpic no longer appears, it's bothering me.

Has this happened to anyone else? Which files have become corrupted? Already replaced cgxbootpic.library and cgxvideo.library to no avail.

System is a Peg2 in ODW configuration.

Bleh. Further testing and research has narrowed the problem down to the screenmode database definition file in Prefs/Presets/Monitors. Looks like I'll be rebuilding that from scratch...
