window title bar pb with birdie
« on: May 26, 2003, 03:38:38 PM »
hi guys

PB: The window title bars has a texture only on the text and on the gadgets. All other part of the window appears okay with a texture.
I'm running MCP, visualprefs, executive.
I wonder it's a pb with visualprefs, and take care not to use stuffs that are already patched with it and mcp.
I'm running OS3.9 bb2 on an A4000.

I know it looks like a beginner question, but with birdie IAM!:)
I tried to find by myself a solution to that problem, and also tried to find on internet issues, but none has something to do with me.

Thanx all,
Oanemous :-?

I know it's not much help, but I remember having that problem too, but managed to resolve it. Not using Birdie nor stuff like it for some reason I've forgot (probably speed issues).

Unfortunately, I fear that it's all VisualPrefs fault.
*Zap! Zap!* Ha! Take that! *Kabooom!* Hey, that\'s not fair!

You should read Notes&Hints section of VisualPrefs.Guide Also disable all GUI related patches of MCP.

This is a known issue with Birdie and VisualPrefs.
Go to VP and find the 'Don't Optimize Border Rendering' and make sure it's ticked.

That should be it. Ensure to close all windows and when you re-open them, all your frames should be coloured correctly.
