Voodoo 3000 PCI for Mac on G-Rex?
« on: November 24, 2006, 06:49:26 PM »

As the title suggests does anyone know if it's possible to use the Voodoo 3000 Mac version on a G-Rex.
I know it's flashed for Mac and not PC but does that matter on Amiga?

Thanks in advance )

For the Prometeus you have to have a PC-flashed firmware. I have a V5 5500 for MAC but had to flash it for PC to make it work. So it all depends on the drivers you have for G-Rex.  :-)
Mainframe: Amiga 3000 Tower, CSPPC233/060, 144+2MB, 36GB UW, Prometheus, Voodoo5 5500, 10Mbit, 24xCDr, OS 4.0 ....Amiga since 1987.

Don't know about G-Rex but at least for Mediator you need a Voodoo with PC-firmware.
Anyway, if you have access to a PC you can reflash the firmware to another one.

Is there a flash utility that's executable within windows? The only reference I can find involves doing something extremely complicated from DOS  :-(
