A3000 tower
« on: November 23, 2006, 10:15:32 PM »
Just looking into what a 3000 tower is worth these days, Has the newest revision chips. What might one ask for a tower with a3640, 1 x hd floppy, 40x cdrom, and 9gb seagate HD. Tower looks good, there was a mishap in the past and someone epoxied the top clips on the front panel. Its not noticable when it is assembled. Well just looking for info on pricing. thanks

The A3000T in my opinion was the best built Amiga in many ways If only it had AGA capabilities I would still have mine today. The A3000T in the shape you describe should be worth around $500 on ebay you may even get up to $650 It really depends on the demand at the time of the listing.
Amiga 2000HD Indivision ECS

I've always wanted one of these machines. I bet shipping this massive Amiga would cost something silly to the UK! Pity.

I once sent a Mcintosh power amp to Italy.  That sucker weighed like 70 lbs.  At the buyers request I sent it via the Post Office "surface freight".  In other words, by boat.  Delivery time ended up being about 5 weeks.  The upshot was that it only cost around $60.00, or ~35gbp.

This was about 4 years ago, so prices may have changed dramatically by now.  But at the time I remember thinking it was very cheap.  Its an option you might want to consider for heavy international shipments, such as Amiga 3000Ts, etc.  .

Prices have gone up, I just looked at USPS.com and it looks like air mail to england is about $150.00. I just shipped a sx-64 to england last month and that was $120.00.
