NewIcons on amiga 1200 OS 3.1? help please

hello... and thanks for the replies on amiga ethernet .
i want to change the icons in my WB 3.1 to newicons i cant do that. i need classact 2.0 and it is no where to be found. how do i install newicons and what do i need ? thanks

I think you'll need to update your Installer in your C folder also with this http://aminet.net/util/misc/Installer-43_3.lha

Maybe you want to have a look at ClassicWB. It's a great base for creating a nice 3.1 system and saves a lot of work when you're starting from scratch. Installed the AdvSP version on my 1200D and it runs great! You'll need to run it in UAE however to prepare a zip file for installing on a real Amiga.

no.... hmm.. when i try to install newicons 4.6 it says that it dont seems that i have classact 2.0 installed. but i have. how do i fix this ?

Hi, IIRC you need Installer v43.3, I tried installing Newicons with InstallerNG and was getting the same error message even though I did have Classact 2.0 installed.

You need to open a shell found in the 'system' directory of your workbench, and type the following then press return:

ed s:startup-sequence

Now type the follow on a new line after the Setpatch command but before Iprefs:

C:PatchOpenWB

Now save the file and reboot, job done.
