Art Effect 4.0 Where's the serial number?!

Well... Since I got the Pegasos, I started to fish through my backlog of software that I've bought but haven't installed yet.

I bought ArtEffect4.0 from SoftHut a while ago (years ago).  I go through the installation and then it asks for the Serial Number when I start everything up.  I look in the manual (which is all in german), no serial number there.  Look at the CD, it's bright orange, it has: Art Effect V4.0 Mai 2000 on it.  It has Copyright H&P 1996-2000.  Flip the CD around, and the only thing I see is a few scribbles on the inside of the CD, the only serial-number on there is something stating "000402a".  

I would check the box it came in... but...  Well I don't have the box anymore.  I've moved since I had it.  So I'm hoping the serial number was not with the box.  :-(

So where is it?  :-?

Mine is handwritten on the first page of the manual. It's neither my handwriting nor anyone else's I know. I purchased it directly from H&P a few years ago.

Well, I know there is a box to write the serial number inside my manual.  BUT, it's empty.
