If you've tried both of those I suggest you download the latest Opera (9.02).  Oh it is soooo sweet.

You have to try using the mouse buttons to move back and forth in pages. Works really well in the Forums too.  If you hold down the left mouse button and click the right mouse button it moves forward one page on a web page (so lets say you're reading a thread here with 7 pages if you're on page 2 for example it will go to page 3)  To move back a page you hold the right mouse button down and click with the left.  Very cool and I keep trying to use this feature in Windows when browsing folders.  It seems like an insignificant feature, but it's amazing how much easier it is to surf the web, very addicting.

Also, has built in email, IRC, BitTorrent client, Widgets and more.

Back in my day, we didn\'t have water. We only had Oxygen and Hydrogen, and we\'d just have to shove them together.

The latest Opera is good, but I prefer the new Firefox 2.0. My daughter can't even get IE7 to run on her Dell!! But that shouldn't shock anyone.
I sure wish Opera had been ported to the Amiga! ( I know, wish in one hand and...........)

I've found IE7 to be extremely buggy. FF2 is by far the greatest of the two. Opera is in a class of it's own.
Beating the dead horse since 2002.

FFox still isn`t that good [IMHO] as Opera...

Here are some [my] examples/shortcuts I can`t live without and that bans me from moving to FFox:

- Opera has CTRL+H [for quick hiding browser]
- Opera has perfect page ZOOM [it even zooms flash anims & movies]. FFox can`t zoom html with images without plugin?] -> try CTRL+mousewheel up/dn or +/-... * [star] resets the view.
- Opera saves image on CTRL+left mouse click
- Opera goes left/right tabbing with 1/2 keys. FFox goes with ctrl+tab/ctrl+shift+t [THREE keys!?]
- Opera can continue all opened tab sessions. FFox can't [or CAN? with plugin?]
- Opera has smoother scrool [try middlemousebutton click and go large page down/up.] Compare with FFox and you`ll see Opera is better coded [?]
- in Opera you can go any link without using mouse [try shift+arrows and you`ll see]
- Opera has great toolbar when click tiny pixel all to the left side [or CTRL+1, 2, 3... etc].
- Opera supports chat [irc], torrents, newsgropus...

I don`t know but I think Opera rules! If you know some tricks in FFox - plz let me know. I`d like to give FFox a chance :)

Unfortunatelly, in Opera gmail does not work 101% well [and ~15-20% other sites including 90% online banking]...

IE7 I don`t even want to compare. Speed is terrible, at least I saw from IE7 demo... and layout is a mess? [unfortunatelly, IE7 has better looking fonts]

Let me know some tricks from other browsers. Anybody? :)

@ djnick

You may be right in some of your points. As I haven't tried Opera (yet) I will just point out where you were wrong about FF.

- You can select any link using TAB/SHIFT+TAB or even enable a cursor.
- You can scroll through tabs using CTRL+PGUP/PGDOWN (two keys)
- FF 2.0 rememberes all opened tabs, texts in forms and other stuff. It reopens them next time you start the browser.

That's right, FF has no real zoom, it can only change the size of text. It doesn't support irc, torrents and other stuff. However, these can be probably added with plugins (that's the FF philosophy, to have a simple to use browser which can be expanded to your needs).

I can't compare scroll smoothness and other things as I haven't tried Opera.

IMHO, both these browsers are good. I'm not advocating FF here. Just please people, don't use IE :).
