T-Zer0 problems...
« on: October 17, 2006, 08:13:13 AM »
Hi to all! I'd like a little help with a problem I encountered while trying to run T-zer0: the game loads OK (all the movies, music etc), but, after the main menu it crashes (ie black screen) with the default options. When I tried to use the most low-end appropriate options, the game crashed after the ship selection screen. My amiga is an A1200 with HDD, CD-Rom, external scandoubler and a blizzard 1230 with 128 megs of RAM (my ROMs are 3.1)...

Hmmm you have more than enough fastmem, but this game needs a big chunk of Chipmem too. If you are running it from a colourful WB with lots of icons on display, this could be your problem.

Let us know how much chipmem you have when you try to launch the game. Also try freeing up as much chipram as possible, then try again.

Yes, I had similar problems with a similar spec Miggy. I ended up booting off a different partition with all the eye candy turned off to get it going. Worked well like that, but a bit of a bind
