Make sure you get the right Agnus for your Amiga. The wrong Agnus could destroy your computer as they are not electrically compatible.

Also its the Fat angus that was in the A500 & A2000, My A2000 uses the old 512kb (not mb, Im still waiting for that one ;-) ) DIL package version as used in the A1000.
As for one to sell, sorry but nope :-) (All the spare chips I have are for when... I mean if my Amigas break down)

Softhut sell the Fatter Angus for $15 though Linky

It is unfortunate that technical information about the different versions of Agnus is not very good. I helped dispell some of the myths last year but BBoAH is still wrong :(

Umm.. yard sales? Thrift stores? Classifieds? You'd be surprised.. as stock a2000 (just the box) can be had cheaply.

I've got an old 512 meg (NTSC original) from my A500 that I could send you (if I can find it); let me know if you're interested!

Ai
Vesalia offers a 8372A-2 Fat Agnus for just €4.90 (inc. VAT, exc. shipping costs). Is this one compatible with the Amiga 500? I know it's originally a CDTV chip.

There would be some compatibility issues as magnetic's A2000 surely is an NTSC unit (and thus requiring an NTSC Agnus), and the Agnus from Vesalia is probably PAL.

Great. Thank you! I'm also looking for a 1.3 Rom for an a500/a2000...

@x56h34

I love your "Bruce Lee" icon. Is there a way I can play this game on my Pegasos? (uae, c64 emu,???))

thx

The 8372A 318069-02 variant was the one that was both PAL and NTSC combined.

As long as that is the right one electically for your A2000 (and I think it is) you'll be ok.

Just make sure you dont have a REALLY old A2000 which takes a DIP (A1000) Agnus
