The CDROM works fine with every CD I´ve tried so far, even when used before in the pc.

I´m using Eyetech´s EZCD-SE A1200 buffered interface, with IDEFix 97.

When the CD-RW is inserted it is mounted as UDFReader:   and in it I can see autorun.inf and udfrinst.exe

This is a fault of the software you're using to write the CDRW. (EasyCd) Those two files are the only thing you'll ever see, as they're put there by EasyCD to allow another Windows machine to load the udfrinst.exe program. "UDF Reader Installer.exe"

Read the advice above. Write the CDRW just as you would a CDR and your Amiga should see the whole disk.
Cache Ya,
Craig.

SOrry my mistake, was really trires and ratty last night.  I have only tried CDRW's on miggy using CDRW's burned in one go like a normal CDR.

If i remember u cant even install directCD under winXppro.

But it is interesdting to note that Roxio are the ones that wrote the cd burning stuff that is built into xp, and I will admit its ####

I can use the LS-120 disks for that and save the CD-RW disks until OS4 is ready. Thanks for the info.

There's no need to do that, Enrique. Just use Nero or similar to burn the CDs you want to read on the Amiga.

The Amiga file systems don't support the DirectCD format.  So the answer is no.

As for Easy CD Creator failing...

If you don't have a drive with 'burn proof' technology:
1.  Reboot your machine before you burn any disks.
2.  Shut down everything you can.
3.  Have it build the disk image on your hard drive first.

If your drive has 'burn proof' technology:
1. Same as step one above
2. Turn on the 'burn proof' setting in Easy CD Creator

I've seen about every CD burning program screw up disks... Roxios product is just pickier than others.

Thanks for your answers. I´ll give Nero and Diskjuggler a try.

Meanwhile, I´ll use my LS-120 disks ´cause the stuff in the CD-RWs are downloads from aminet and other sites that get updated regularly and I have enough CD-Rs with different versions of the programs I download :)

Hope this mount rainier thing works better than directcd when OS4 is out.
