Athlon processor on ebay for you to bid on and buy from me
« on: September 20, 2006, 07:35:38 PM »
I put one of those Athlon things up on ebay.  There's one guy already watching and waiting to snipe it for 4 cents (opening price), so let's burst his bubble and bid it up so his evil 4 cent plan will not succeed. :-D

@thedaemon

It will fit in there, yes. I do believe there is enough room inside the A1000 casing for this non-Amiga item to fit inside.

My spare PC (Xubuntu/BeoS/Win98) is a K7 550 right now.  I would buy this from you, but I'm waiting for a Slot A 800, because it's the fastest my mobo can support.  The only reason I'm upgrading this PC is because it has ISA slots, and I'm rather fond of my Gravis Ultrasound PnP and my Awe64 Gold.   :-)
Have you hugged your KennyR or Paul Gadd today?

@legion

So, what you need to do is to buy another computer with a 700 max and buy this from me!  :python:

Can you believe someone actually cancelled their nine cent bid? "Entered wrong amount"... I guess. :-(

Heh! Well it is a little overpriced! :-)

I have a 500MHz one sitting here... But it's too much hassle to be bothered selling it!

my computer is a 950mhz athlon oc'd to 1ghz my second is a 750. both are stable and fast. i have a p4 mobo but havent seen the need to set it up yet
a well setup and maintained system with 700mhz cpu and decent amount of ram is as usefull as most systems ive seen my freinds and family using (i should know i fix and upgrade them for them)
btw an athlon wouldnt fit in an a1000 as there are no mini-itx mobos for them most have the new via cpus. those are capable of emulating an amiga though.
Oh yeah?!?
Well your stupid bit is set,
and its read only!
(my best geek putdown)

It will fit inside as well as a peanut butter and jelly sandwich would fit inside a VCR.
