I hope this will not put an end to the Elbox Dragon accelerator development since the CPU used is a Coldfire.   :-(

Spot the difference:

Freescale Semiconductor is being sold

vs

Freescale Semiconductor is bankrupt/being liquidated/discontinuining production/reducing production/cost-cutting

The separation of the microprocessor arm from Motorola was actually intended so that it could be sold.  Motorola wishes to focus on the more profitable parts of the company like mobile phones.
