Was this Warp3D update ever finalized?
« on: September 03, 2006, 08:16:50 PM »
Have read a big amount of the posts at the Amiga Mediator group at Yahoo Groups and stumbled over some posts about that Warp3D feautures like FOG wasn't supported by Mediators with Voodoo cards but Hyperion wasn't going to fix that, anyone know if it was done?

I finally got Shogo running here after disabling FOG in the lanch menu so I suspect Hyperion never did it   :-(

Nope. and it isn`t a mediator thing, the same goes for the G-rex too: no fogging with VooDoo
Not really interesting, but it`s there.

Actually PowerUP MorphOS has the very latest 3D drivers for Voodoo cards. Naturally this doesn't help if you're 68k only, or for some other reason can't use PUP MOS.

Sadly Voodoo3 with Mediator is one of these reasons... btw. do you know anyone intrested in MOS PUP team to support A4000-version of Mediator, which doesn't suffer from those problems which A1200-version has?

My understanding is that there are currently no plans for this. Dunno if someone is interested, though. Strictly technically speaking support should be possible.

I blame Elbox for that really , too much fuss and no plans on hosting files/comments etc but instead they wanted to fix every problem themself per email..

Back when i was using mediators as my main system we had forums and support groups and a tip top usergroup...theese days its as you said a pain to find info...

That said, the mediator rescued many users from switching to pc or whatever some eyars back but i have a feeling the mediator aint as striking as it once was...

Now where did that sharkppc go?
Whats up with all the hate!

I'm not sure about you guys, but this is intresting and important information for A4k/PPC & Mediator-owners. I'd gladly support by donations if someone would take this task. I'm sure that this would make MOS PUP userbase much larger. Extremely intresting I'd say. Not sure how this fits or if it fits at all in the plans for MOS PUP. Maybe bounty could be suggested for this?

And this would be only option to run some of OS4 programs thru OS4Emu currently for those running Mediators, probably OS4-betatesters included ;-)
