My guess is your CD is FUBARed, try burning a new one .....

(but have a look at serial-out before)
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

Try also to explore your CDROM and disk by using the ls command :

ls /pci/ide/cdrom
or ls cd

ls /pci/ide/disk0@1

clean your eeprom too

the right boot.img for peg2 is boot.img , the other one is for Peg1.

You must use right settings, 11500 8n1 (IIRC), other than that it doesnt need special care.

@CLS2086
When it tries to boot it says 'ISO-9660 filesystem: System-ID "MorphOS"'. Is that 1.4.5???
I have 1 stick of 512MB PC2100 DDR. I have tried it in both slots.
I have tried the Voodoo on the first PCI slot with nothing on any other slots.
Nothing is connected to the USB ports.
I have tried the CD-ROM and HDD set to master on their own channels.
There probably is something on the drive. I was planning to format it once I had booted MOS. Does it matter if there's something on there?

If I ls /pci/ide/cdrom I can see files on the disc. Where can I download an ISO to burn a new disc? And how do I reset the EPROM?

It just is MorphOS 'some version'.

Even if memory was broken it should randomly get past Quark prompt (boot image could be compared to Kickstart ROM on Amiga). Maybe if boot image was not loaded correctly and it crashes (which would indicate broken CD) but I find it extremely unlikely.

Probably not related to gfx card. Gfx card drivers are loaded later.

Not really. Well, in some cases it does but you should get past Quark prompt then.. (at least a little).

So what do you think? Broken CD? Is there somewhere I can download an ISO image to burn to CD?

I have registered, but they are not processing registrations until 18th Sept :roll:

I have "obtained" a logon for the download area and got the ISO. I'm just burning it now and will try again.

Ok I've tried a new MOS CD, but have got the same problem. I'm going to get a serial cable tomorrow and see if there is any useful debug output.

Hi,
sorry that I forgot to tell you about that, some new CD/DVD drives are not 100% compatible with AMIGA and Pegasos...
For exemple I can't use a Samsung CDRW 52-32-52x on my A1200 even with IDEFix Express...

@CLS2086
Actually, the same drive worked fine on my A1200 before I changed it for a SCSI one. Weird huh!

@itix
Yes I'm very relieved the motherboard is ok. I am using 80 way cables. In fact it is the same cable I used with the other drive.

Do you think the MOS/Genesi devs would want to know about this?
