Heck no, post up BR.  Jens is nobody special and neither is any Amiga company.  He thinks HE'S frustrated??? Shi* we've been frustrated for YEARS, hop on the frustration ship Jens, we're all pissed off!

Alex,
I didn't want to get into this thread, but I guess I better. I have never known Jens not to honor a warranty. I can only think of 1 defective product I've heard of and it was replaced. I have sold many hundred of his products over time.

I don't know the whole story with BR, but I would suspect there is more to it. Please keep in mind we have not heard from Jens or even Amigakit on this, just BR. I have emailed Jens to let him know of this thread, but he is moving right now and may not have an internet connection. I respect Amigakit, Individual Computers and BR who has been a past customer of mine. I suspect a breakdown of communication.

BTW Jens being frustrated at one point has nothing to do with BR's issue, afaik. That was also probably a personal email taken out of context.

I'll have to agree on the lack of warranty.  When I picked up my C-One, it took 4 months for him to send him a flash chip to make it work.  I later picked up a RR-Net card for the C64, it didn't work.  Protovision told me that they wouldn't support me and to get with Jens.  4 months after repeated emails to Jens, I was told to send it back to him.  3 months after that I asked where it was and was told 'I never got it' and never heard from him again.

@redrumloa,

A voice of reason in the wild.

@BR,

Sorry to hear you are so frustrated, no one likes the silent treatment, but airing your frustration here isn't going to help you and will likely not hurt Jens sales volume of any of his and/or Individual Computers either.

But, go ahead, vent if it makes you feel any better.  It appears you may have reason and right to do so.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Sigh and Protovision is not here to comment either.

I didn't air my frustrations here thinking that doing so would help me. I'm hoping it will help others. Forewarned is forearmed.

Thank you. If we don't speak up when this kind of thing happens there is nothing to discourage business's from
treating customers any way they want, any time they want.

Thank you. I'm sorry to hear you got hassled for 2 negative
feedbacks on eBay. I've read posts here about the flaws in
Ebay's feedback system so this is one place you should get
the benefit of the doubt. And I agree with you when you
say no Amiga company is special. Being a company shouldn't
mean your exempt from treating people right.

I purchased the XSurf through Amigakit and thats why he got involved. I can email you but if Matthew couldn't get anywhere
I doubt I'd be doing anything but wasting your time. I
appreciate your concern and being willing to try to help.
I haven't done or said anything in the past 16 months I
wouldn't be willing to mention publicly but if you'd rather
I send private mail thats what I'll do. Thanks.

You read the post wrong  He gave two negatives in revenge after he decided to sell an item he'd sold on eBay to someone else.

Bob,

the reason why Matthew from AmigaKit got nowhere is that I've sent two MACH chips already, but you keep on claiming you never got them. I don't care about the price of the chips, but I do care about the postage and my time.

Quit whining, you've got enough support. True, the first shipment too a while, but I'm a *bit* pissed off when someone causes more cost AND still claims that I do bad support. If you want to know where your chips are, ask your postman. I can't do more than ship them.

Matthew told me you said you sent 3. I dont understand why
you'd send any without at least sending an email letting me know 1 was on it's way. I also care about your postage and your time, this is why I haven't sent mail every other day
bugging you about this. I haven't received any and I'm
not sure how this is possible. I can imagine 1 getting lost along the way, maybe 2, but 3? Shouldn't you be requesting
some kind of trace on your outgoing mail so you can find out
whats happening to it? I cant put a trace on mail I dont know is coming.

If email in December of 2006 stating your sending a Mach chip that never gets sent is "enough support" I've got more to be pissed off about then you do and have every right to
"whine". Ask my postman? You haven't responded to any email
I've sent since Dec. of 2006 and apparently didn't think it was necessary that I know these chips were being sent.
What do I ask him? Why he's keeping Mach chips he has no use
for? It's odd that this is the only mail from overseas that
never made it to me considering how many overseas transactions I've been involved with. I have an idea, try
putting one in a box, then put my mailing address on the
box, then really send it. I have no reason to make ficticious claims that I haven't gotten a chip, or to cause problems for you. I've posted about it because I'm living
it and have been ignored for over a year and I don't
know what else to do. If your really concerned about your
time and cost find out whats going on from your end. It's
what you's expect from me if I were sending you something
and it wasn't getting through. Thank you.

Sorry about that, and thanks for pointing this out. At least the part of my response that mentions eBays flawed rating system still apply's. Whether you give or get 2 you should still get the benefit of the doubt.

For future referance, I just spoke with my postman. I was told that if the sender doesn't notify the recipient they are sending something, provide a tracking number, or send the something via registered mail, the only way they can trace or find out what happened to the something being sent is for
the sender to initiate a search or trace.

There is the problem with mailing items internationally. Unless you pay a premium, you don't get any sort of tracking ability. Putting a trace on un-registered mail that has no tracking ability is a complete and total waste of time. This is why I typically only use USPS Express mail when selling to people outside the USA. Even for the smallest items it will cost the buyer $30+ but I would have no recourse otherwise if the recipient claims non-delivery.

BR:

I bought a Xsurf II on ebay for $44 w/o shipping.  Now that I've seen the support I'll be getting I do not want it.  you can have it for $40 shipped (if you're in the USA).
