Hello all.
just returned to the miggy scene after a two year absence.
a4000d 030/25mhz,powerflyer gold, and mediator pci4000di,(hopefully tomorrow morning in the post).
mobo needs a bit of work- caught the battery just in time, and am replacing the smt caps on mobo/cpu card.
apart from those minor probs the machine is quite clean.
ttfn.

So the batteries can really cause that much of a problem?

My primary A3000 battery is dead, but keeps working fine... If I yank the battery, will the computer keep running and not error?

The machine will work without the battery. Better to remove it than leave it in and let it leak. Though as long as you use the machine regularly I don't see why the battery would leak.

Welcome Lee!

@sdyates

You could replace it with a new battery for the A3000  (battery supplied with software on floppy disk)
