ez-vga scandoubler
« on: August 15, 2006, 10:18:11 AM »
My EZ-VGA External scandoubler arrived today, so I fitted into my PT and nothing! It's got a small jumper on the back to i tryed it set in the other postion and still no signs of life. So I tryed it without the jumper and still nothing! Is there anything I need to do to get this thing to work? system specs below!

scandoubler does'nt do anything, no lights, nothing!
I did try a different Monitor lead with one I use for my GFX and I know the monitor port works on the amiga as I had the Philips CM8833-II connected to it without a problem, so any advice will be great. I might not be able to reply until after 4.00pm

If it is the EZ-VGA I remember, its ECS only. Can you get the bootmenu to display through it?

The EZ-VGA Scandoubler is the same as MV1200, Toastscan, Elbox Scandoubler FF or Indivision. They are all the same - the MV1200 from ACT. So they work of course also with AGA.

Sorry I should off updated this post, but I thought it would die off peacefully.  But for whatever reason the scandoubler didnt like my video port on my 2B motherboard (which the Philips CM8833-II worked fine)So with help from MR Amigakit in fault finding, I replaced the MB with an 1D and it worked 100% :-)

I can't wait for mine.... it will be much better on the eye I hope.  Tell me, is it like the scan doubler on the a3k that makes patterns appaer "unstable", you cot where parts of the GUI that have pixel by pixel checkers?  They look awfull on my 3000er when I flick the "fixer" on.
