For you Registees out there
« on: August 12, 2006, 04:27:36 AM »
"After I get informed of your payment I will send you your personalized keyfile via email"

This is directly from a website we all know.

Now, this file - what is it. Do you transfer it to your Amiga or something?

Thanks

When I get keyfiles via email I copy it to whatever Assign they tell me to. Usually you copy it to the S: assign or copy it to the folder where the program is.

Some shareware programs open a "keyfile". If this file is valid, then the program is unlocked, and may display personal details (such as name, or email address) somewhere in the program. Maybe in the About window, or startup screen. But programs are often different, so some may save in s:, some may save in progdir: (the dir the program is run from). When the author sends you the keyfile, I'm sure he will give you details on where to copy it to.
