delfina plus/flipper on a 26 pin expansion port
« on: August 04, 2006, 07:47:43 PM »
Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone has ever used a Delfina sound card on the 26 pin expansion port of the catweasel ZII or the X-surf three card?

I'm almost certain that's not possible. But the XSurf has clockports, so just attach it there.

I never got mine to work!  ( see system specs below)  The system would always crash.  Jens offered to buy it back, but  I hung on to it.  Maybe I'll try it in a 1200 when I get an accelerator.

I hear good things about the Mas player. I just wish I could find one (or several!)

@Tenacious,

You never got it to work on your X-surf with the clockports or the 26 pin expansion?

Or both?

@BinoX,

Well, I emailed Jens about it. I'm sure he's probably tired of these kind of emails. I'm not really expecting a reply but I thought I'd give it a shot.

Maybe you can educate me, I haven't been in there in a while.  I beleive that my X-surf only has A1200-style clock ports on it.  In my E-mails with Jens, he never mentioned another method to interface the Delfina to my system.  He did have me remove a few resistors on the back of the Delfina. This made no difference. I also tried a half dozen versions of Delfina.library.  In the end, he admitted that the drivers were not finished. I got the impression that he designed the hardware and someone else was supposed to deliver the software.  In truth, I was sold a half-finished and untested product.   ("...There is nothing we can't improve.."  sour grin)

This is how it was left a few years ago.  Has anything changed?

For what its worth, I've had no problems with the X-surf.
