I'm think it is full AGA as on the german instruction sheet (from hardware info page above) it says:
"Vielen Dank fur den Kauf von arXon-ScanDoubler fur den AMIGA 4000"
Which roughly translates as:
"Thankyou for the purchase of the arXon-Scandoubler for the AMIGA 4000"
So if it is sold as an A4000 scandoubler I figure it must be AGA.

The shape of the interface connector will only fit an AGA video slot.

My ignorance may now show, however, do most video adapters let the AGA modes through or not?  I am a bit confused on this point, but I am looking for one for my A4000 and would like to make sure I get one that will let those video modes through to an SVGA monitor.

Thanks,

Mike

OCS/ECS scandoublers/flickerfixers will work in an A4000, but they don`t support the full colorrange of AGA as they are only 12 bit (4096 colors) especiallly HAM8 pictures will look funny through those scandoublers.

You can identify them easyly by the "short" videoslot connector.
By the way the majority of the scandoublers that go into the videoslot are non AGA. The only I can think of, beside the Arxon we are just talking about, is the scandoubler module for the CV64/3D and one from Micronik.
Not really interesting, but it`s there.

@Kerpoi,

Yes, it is full AGA as far as I can tell. I have one in my 4000D.

Arxon scandoubler is 24bit, I had one and I could compare it to internal Phase5 ones, so don't worry. It is 24 bit!

phase5 CV3d scandoubler was not 24 bit. Load a demo like TBL/Rain and you will notice it.

Maybe they changed the design in latest DCE stuff, but the original phase5 scandoubler was not 24bit. Colours looked crap compared to a 24bit scandoubler like Arxxon or Picasso4
