« on: August 01, 2006, 12:29:44 AM »
Hey guys, I just got my MA401 WIFI card for my Amiga. I got it to connect, but it crashes after ahwile. Could it be straining the pathetic powersupply? My 3com wired NIC works no problem, my machine can be on for days!

128MB RAM

A4K: \\\'060, Cyberstorm MKIII Cybervision 64/3D w/ Scandoubler, Buddha Flash XSurf, MP3@64, A4K: \\\'040, Toaster, Y/C, A1200: Apollo \\\'040, A1200 GVP \'030, A1200: Stock, A2000: 68K, Trump SCSI, Supra 8Mb, and Toaster 4K, A2500: \\\'030, GVP SCSI, Supra 8MB x2, Video Toaster, CD32, Minimig, Efika and Hopefully an A4000T soon!

I got it going, but as soon as I accessed the floppy drive, it crashed. I'm guessing the powersupply is strained.

Could be.  My setup is 1200, Blizzard 1260, 1230SCSI with 192MB, FF/SD, and MA401 -- no running problems.  All on an A500 PSU (65W, I think, rather than the 1200's original 23W.)

I had an unstable setup too and I think it was caused by Easynet. Now I'm using Miami and haven't had any crash yet. Although it could be something else, now that I've got it working and stable I won't fiddle with it anymore. :)

Previous post beat me to it, but I came back wondering about your TCP/IP stack.  I use Miami, and the only problem I have is occassionally having to reboot to get the card to properly activate.  No crashes, though.
