FS: IDE hard drives for Amiga and otherwise
« on: July 30, 2006, 03:58:27 AM »
I have the following IDE hard drives for sale -- make an offer any one or multiples of interest.  I want to get rid of these, so reasonable offers will be accepted.  Most drives are working OEM pulls, tested, and provided sans warranty... they're old.

Amiga FFS-formatted (no OS,) work in A4000D/A1200:

2.5" (A1200 or A4000 with adapter)

1GB Fujitsu M2714TAM, Mfg 1996-07
1.4GB IBM DMCA-21440, Mfg Sep-96

3.5" (A4000)

4.3GB Seagate ST34323A, Mfg date code 9915
4.3GB Seagate ST34323A, Mfg date code 9901
6.4GB Quantum Fireball EX, no obvious date
1GB Western Digital Caviar 11000, Mfg Aug 98
(This one has been in factory static wrap until recent testing and formatting.)

5.25" (A4000)

8GB Quantum Bigfoot TX, no obvious date

Not recognized by A4000, but might work with other IDE controllers, FAT32-formatted 3.5":

4.3GB Western Digital Caviar 43AA, Mfg 27 Apr 2000
4.3GB Western Digital Caviar 24300, Mfg 17 Aug 98
4.0GB Western Digital Caviar 34000, Mfg  9 Nov 98

I am trimming down my stock of old equipment which I kept because "it could be useful one day."  Well, I need less stuff to move when I move again.  So as I come across more stuff, I'll batch them up here.  I know I have at least one more Quantum Bigfoot at the office, possibly other drives.

I seriously want to get rid of this stuff.  Even if you just offer to pay shipping, it's yours.  Otherwise it's all going off to solid waste recycling.

Where in the world are you? It makes a difference as to whether I'm interested.

Good point.  I will update my profile, meanwhile I am in Tallahassee, FL, USA.
