scandoubler takes his job too serious
« on: July 27, 2006, 07:16:58 PM »
Hello,

fist of all, if anybody has a hint, why i cant write on my old account (god64) anymore (i think it's since a server change) i would appreciate this, but anyway, no problem with a new one.

my actual problem why i'm writing this is, that my scandoubler, one of these:

http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=362

Is REALLY doubling my scans, meaning it shows the screen twice. one in the first horizontal half of the screen, a exact copy in the second half of the screen.

Has anyone ideas what this could be and how i could fix it?

thanx

Looks like you try to display doubled screen on 15 kHz monitor/TV. I've got exactly the same result trying to display DblPAL screen on PAL monitor (capable only 15 kHz). Or maybe you scandouble already doubled mode (DblPAL, DblNTSC or Multiscan Productivity)?

just checked this. the screen mode does not affect this, i have this problem on all screen modes with all amigas (currently a upgraded-to-the-max a1200 and a plain a600, which is way to less amigas, i know ;) ). i did not change anything since the last time it worked, in fact they weren't even running at all since last time it worked. it is some kind of hardware scandoubler problem. i am pretty sure about this.

Send a PM to Wayne to find out if you have/had a problem with the old address :-)
