Newbie question about cables/adapters
« on: July 26, 2006, 05:57:14 PM »
Hi!

I jsut bought a RocTec video/amiga fader. It has one 23-pin female connector (Amiga input, I guess), one RCA video input, and one RCA video output. I am looking for a way to use it as a video mixer - so I need an adapter:

It could be RCA to Amiga 23-pin male, S-Video to to Amiga 23-pin male, or anything like that.

Alternatively - if anyone knows which part of the amiga signal goes into which of the 23 pins in the cable, I could probably hack something out myself.

I´m completely lost here, so any help/tips would be greatly appreciated!

Best regards

thats an Amiga genlock interface. (genlock in Amigaland)

its 23 pins port must be connected directly to the Amiga RGB port.

The 23 pins Amiga port doesn't carries CVBS nor Y-C video signals.

In few words....it works only connected to an Amiga to mix the native Amiga signal with an external video source.
