Weird Cable

Hi there!
I was cleaning a basement and found a box of Amiga stuff..
All was known cables and hardware exept this cable:

One End is the same as the Joystick Ports on an Amiga
One End is an 8 pin Din Male plugg Much like a Serial port on a C64

Looks like a C64/C128 to RGB video cable to me... but others might have an opinion!

Oops, Easy1541 is parallel. Could be something similar though for connecting a Commodore serial device to an Amiga.

I'm going with Glitch on this one.  It looks like a C128 video cable.  IIRC, my 1084S came with one.

It fit in the 1084s but not in my 128,64 or plus 4

Aha!  It could have come with the Commodore monitor to connect to a Commodore PC (as a CGA monitor)...  Your monitor has an Analog/Digital push switch on the back?  Analog would be for the Amiga's output and digital would be for the C128 in 80 column mode or a CBM PC in CGA/old EGA.  Perhaps?

When I booght my A1000 I asked about a monitor for the A1000 and the C64 and the sakesman gave me a "Retail" box and not the usly bundled A1084. The difference was, that I got about four or five differnt cables with it. One was for connecting old monochrome PC to this monitor. This coul dbe that cable.

The cables were labled (C128-1084, Amiga-1084, C64-1084, PC-1084, Scart_Out-1084)

Edit:  It should be 9pin DIN on the 1084S side, and the 9pin D sub on the C128.

Is the 9 pin sub D the wrong sex for the C-128 80 column port? That is sure what it looks like.
