MASPlayer eating all CPU time
« on: July 21, 2006, 04:52:18 PM »
Hi,
tried MASPlayer last night and it the quality of mp3 playback was good as expected, using MasPlayer own software. But it seemed to take 75-85% CPU time. Havent had time yet to try Amplifier or AmigaAMP with hardware support, but gonna give it a try.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

I never used the MASPlayer software so I dunno what the problem is with CPU use. I use AmigaAmp and the MHI library for the MAS ,which takes about 3-4% CPU according to Scout (using an A4000 040/40)
On schedule, and suing

Hmmm.. IIRC there was one setting which affected to cpu usage... can't remember it now, as I haven't owned one myself :) Better to try different switches :)
