anybody mount an NFS drive on AMIGA?

want to mount an NFS drive, what do I need? Samba?  Any ideas...

What sort of machine/OS is hosting the files you wish to access on the Amiga?

If it's a UNIX derivative, it might be better to install the Samba server stuff on that, then use the Amiga SMBFS client to access it.

If you're after more Samba info, check here...

Samba is for SMB/CIFS.  NFS is for NFS.  AmiTCP/Genesis comes with a NFS client (IIRC, the command is ch_nfsmount).

yes you are right, I will try to configure the amiTCP stuff to mount this linux nfs server.. (yellow box).  BTW I'm in Venice beach....

Nice to see another South Bay local here.  Let me know how the ch_nfs works.  I can bring home a Linux laptop and try if you get stuck.
