Which program are you using for system information? ShowConfig isn't the best one.

For getting both CyberStorm and CV64 to work without problems, install the latest libraries for the accelerator (68060.library version 46.5) as well as latest Picasso96 (v2.0) or CyberGraphX v4 plus update, depending of what software you prefer.

why not just open the amiga and see what cpu u have? the 060 is in most cases without a heatsink, the 040 has by default at least a heatsink... open it and look!

amigaites:

its not a 040, it is an o60
( don't have the box in front of me here at work!)
the origional 040 DOES have a heat sync!
anyway, I have several 060 at home, I will post them later.
the machine is open..... until I can sort this out no sence in closing it...
it just wired that they show up as 040's rahter the the 060 they are, so I was wondering is this a software issue. I run OS3.1

again thanks you guys are great!
Pierre

AmigaOS 3.1 was written before 68060 was available, thus AmigaOS 3.1 CPU and ShowConfig commands don't know about the 68060 processor and report the CPU as 68040.

You can use the CPU060 command distributed with the 68060 library archive.

cpu060 caims that no 060 is available and that I should upgrade!  I can feel the speed if the 060 the boot is real, so is the lack if fpu.  the funny thing is that whe I swap back the to 040 (with fpu also), the fpu support is not there, it line the 060 lib is no good or something?

thanks!

Does the CV work in a different computer? Or in the same computer with a different accelerator?

The latest libraries and drivers for the cards can be obtained here. See Phase5 Support Page.

So, the problem is in the A4000, not one of the cards? May be you can try the combination in the A3000?

@pierre

The CV64 includes a jumper to choose your buster version. Try to move it to the pre-buster11 position

It was late I typed wrong, the CV64 so far has NOT worked in the 3000er only in the 4000er.  I will try the jumber to see if it will work in the 3000er.  The issue in the 4000 is that it stops working with I hook up the 060, I think its software!   SOfar thanks for all the suggetions.  I need new ideas as I haved tried everything I know....

I upgraded to 3.9. Now both showConfig and cpu show an 060 with mmu.  What I'm missing is the FPU!  I have 2 060 chips one is a XC68060RC50 and a XC68060RC50A, does anybody know if they have the fpu.  when the 060 card is installed I can't run systems apps such as "screen mode", the OS complains about some 44 lib?  On the other hand be removing the card and 060 lib II have installed the cv64/3d in the amiga 3000 and it worked. Wish I had the video/flicker module! So the isue is the phase5 mkII 060 board/CPU or software...   If you have seen this type of this let me know. thanks
Pierre
(ps until I get the 060 CPU fpu issue sorted I can't run the CV64/3d and the 060...this sucks I am very close to having a killer setup)
