Hi,

What's the stability like? Worth upgrading yet from 1.5.x or best to wait until full release?

i think that you don't have nothing to loose if you try by your self
A3040/25 AmigaOS 3.9
A1260BPPC AmigaOS 3.9/4.0
Sam440ep AmigaOS 4.1.2
PegasosII/G3 AmigaOS 4.1.2/MorphOS 2.7/Debian 5.0.7/SUSE 11.1
MacMini/G4 1.5 MorphOS 2.7/OSX 10.5.8

If i am going to have bugs on my system,

Besides, don't Firfox 1.x and Firefox 2/Bon Echo co exist ? (Meaning you can have both at the same time)

Did they finally get rid of the HORRIBLE memory leak bug that they call a feature?
I honestly now think that konqueror has surpassed firefox 1.x both when it comes to speed and stability.

The problem with firefox is this: When you close an open tab, it dosent free up all the memory. I personally open a tab for nearly every link and then close them afterwards. After a day of surfing my firefox takes up around 1gig of ram even after closing all the open tabs. The only fix=complete shutdown/restart of firefox.

This is probably not so noticable for people who only open an occisional tab.

Heh! Yeah, "crapped" is about right! Telecom New Zealand holds a nice private monopoly over the NZ phone lines and broadband wholesale, but luckily the government has actually seen the light and local loop unbundling plus increased/fairer competition is on the cards...

Firefox 2.0 disables all extensions that are not mentioned as compatible with 2.0 by their authors.
Most however can be made to work with firefox 2.0 using  am a extension called Nightly Tester Tools to make the extensions compatible

Download and install the extension.
Restart firefox afterwards and click on tools then add-ons.
Click `Make all compatible` and restart firefox again.

All extensions should now be compatible with firefox 2.0. If there are problems with incompatibilities, deactivate all extensions again and activate one by one to see which one is causing the problem. Then wait for that author to write an update.
