well I checked everything and made use of all the ground pins, with shielding and the screen still jumps when the disk is being used.
does the same thing on my a500 too. :(
oh well

One other thing I can think of is to use a shielded cable.  Find an old monitor cable or something similar and cut the ends off and use that.
