Do I have your attention? No?   haha, but seriously I just have a question for my friends here. As some may remember, when we shut down "Anachronism Industries" and shortly after I stopped retro sales on "Auctions by redrumloa", I stated maybe one day I'd return. The time to consider has arrived. Long story made short, I was overstressed, overworked and needed the free time to focus on relocation.

I am now relocated  No longer do I have to live in the road rage capital of the country! No more 4-5 hurricanes a year!! Yaa!! I'm considering another retro shop. The main focus would be C= 8bit, but Amiga would get it's share too. The thought is, is there still a need? In the UK there is AmigaKit, who seems very dedicated. Here in the USA there is (AFAIK) a new C= shop. or so I've heard, don't know much about it or even remember the name.

So.. Is there a need at all? If so, under what name? Anachronism Industries as a corporation is desolved. Should I use the Transistor Terrace name or just good old "Red's Comics and More Store"? I'm leaning towards just using the Red's Comics and More on eBay as a start, just like the old days. Eventually I'll probably launch a full blown webshop @ www.redrumloa.com

Getting long winded here.. Ok, ideas? Bother? Don't bother? Piss off? I love C= 8bit, so that part may be a no brainer.. Besides that and maybe some Amiga retro items, what else? Mac support? PS3? I'm seriously considering PS3..

-Edit-
Oh yeah, and the biggy. Should I carry the Pegasos II and any further Genesi products? Assuming they are still available going forward of course... AFAIK it's still available, which would make it the only new(ish) Amiga compatible still for sale.
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

Commodore 8-bit machines would be cool, especially if you could somehow source some used ones for sale.  And carry the 8-bit products that Individual Computers makes.  There is a site that took over distribution of GEOS and hardware made by CMD (Creative Micro Devices), including the SuperCPU.  I think the site is called www.cmdrkey.com

That and of course Amiga trinkets would be nice, Elbox and Jens' stuff, E3B and the like.  Maybe new roms if they are available.

Of course, PegII

and maybe even Minimig kits - you never know!

Good luck. :-)

Go for it. I've purchased Amiga stuff from you before (a Squirrel PCMCIA Card SCSI Adapter from my Amiga 1200. Works great. Some other items you may consider:

- External Power Supplies (A500, A600, A1200) - Big Foot Style for all those add-ons.

- A500 Hard Drive Adapters - Still a lot of A500's out there. (Also, there are people making new hard drives for the C64, why not for the Amiga 500's.)

- A500, A600, A1200 Ram Expansions and Accelerators.

Thanks
A1000 - 2 Floppies, 2 MB RAM, OS 1.0-1.3
A500 - 170 MB HD, 8 MB RAM, OS 1.3/2.04
A2000 - 350 MB HD, 8 MB RAM, A2630, OS 2.04
A2500 - 540 MB HD, 8 MB RAM, A2630, OS 3.9
A1200 - 20 GB HD, 64 MB RAM, Blizzard IV
Amithlon - 49 GB HD, 768 MB RAM, PIII-1G
AROS - 80 GB HD, 2 GB RAM, P4-3.2GHz

I would give the go redrumloa.

Personally old 8bit commodore stuff would be neat to carry. Maybe having a good supply of disk drives like the 1541-II or maybe good commodores lik the C64c machines.  Heck, any kind of 8bit carts would be good.

To start good, id do business in a reasonable amount.  I know some stuff goes for alot, but if you have quantities of it and sold it for a good price, then im sure it could sell.

I have been meaning to buy a 2nd 1541, but ill wait on it until I take out my C128 again.

Maybe also JiffyDOS roms would be good? My C128 has one, but not my drives.

Good luck! :-D

Pre-installed AROS boxes... or old cheap moderatly speced laptops and PCs to run it on.

Any Amiga stuff you can come across.

Cases to tower what you have or replace the broken or yellowed on you have.

Anything that will turn my A1200 in the the ultimate Amiga powerhouse or let me build the ulimate retro styled AROS box.

@redrumloa

You should find out where the extra Club Amiga t-shirts are being stored and acquire them and let me have one for free because they never sent me one. :-(

Why not? I don't think there are that many Pegasos dealers in the US, and many may find it too much of a hazzle to order from europe.

Problem with PC hw is that the competition is tougher than tough. But perhaps the AROS bit would justify the somewhat higher pricetag. ;-)

It is not like AROS needs an AMD64 X2 4800+ and 2 gigs of RAM to run decently. Though it sure scream on a setup like that.

Welcome back redrumloa.

Focusing on Amiga and C64 would be great, Softhut has been a bit sloppy latly and dont update there website much. It would be good to have some competition again.
Were you thinking hardware only or doing software and repairs as well?

Amiga 4000D towerised OS 3.1 and 3.9 on CF cards
