@Gav

Good grief! Use some punctuation and capitals, mate. Makes it a lot easier to read for others.

Check your power supply. Are you drawing too much power? And make sure the internal leads aren't damaged. Mine are, and if I move the machine, it may or may not work.

@Gav

Sounds like your power supply is getting drained more that it should, try removing other pieces of hardware and see if they go brighter,

If they do not go brighter then replace the PSU or keep it until it goes to heaven.

Also why the personal attacks? if you look at your first post it is hard to read in one big paragraph.

I have a power tower also, A4k /060/48mb/ with video toaster 4000.  The system runs fine but when I use the "Montage" Character Generator instead of the Toaster CG My power and HD leds dim also.  The system still runs fine.  I just figured it was some software quirk.

So...erm......if someone is the only one who says a certain thing it's allright to insult him?

>This aint the first time,so dont cry people jesus

Huh? Have I ever made remarks about your spelling before?

;-) Odin is not the only one who notices sloppy writing.  It's a pet peeve of many members on this site, yours truly included.  If you take the time to sort out your spelling, grammar, punctuation, etceteras, then the people who read your posts will think about what you’ve said, instead of wondering what you’ve said.  There’s a subtle difference.

If a writer masters his craft, his reader encounters not words, but only ideas.

;-) I don't mean to pick over a simple misplaced comma, although we’ve all seen examples of the difference that a single comma can make.  Rather, I was referring to the less common post that is so garbled that many readers cannot tell what the poster is trying to say.  Those are frustrating.
