Your local specialized PC dealer should be able to help you with this, really. 2.5" IDE hard drives are used in probably all laptops since the early 1990s so it shouldn't be a problem.

Unfortunately PC laptops haven't used IDE cables for many years.  They generally just connect straight to a 2.5" IDE connector built on the motherboard, or use a proprietary ribbon cable like the older Apple laptops.

Although, the Clamshell iBook used a cable that looks like it should be suitable - there's one I just found on eBay (here)

I think to get one you would have to use eBay, or a retailer like Amigakit.

2.5 IDE cable (1 inch) $4.65

2.5 IDE cable (2 inches) $5.58

2.5 IDE cable (4 inches) $8.75

Shipping: $2.61

2.5" IDE cables are all in stock and available for immediate despatch.  These prices should be cheaper than Ebay.

Dogdarned PC laptops with their newfangled MoBo connectors crapping it all up for us honest oldschool computer owners... :)

Well, at least my local electronics monger has a 4" 2.5" cable going at about $9 so it shouldn't be impossible to find one.

It's just plain evil of you to advertise like this on the forum. I just bought an A1200 from you :)

I'm having some problems with your e-shop now. I've picked out some more stuff to buy but whenever I go to the checkout it assumes I live in the UK. I live in Sweden so obviously I want to be able to choose this. I can enter all the other information except country and county correctly. What should I do? The first order for the A1200 is confirmed to be delivered to Sweden.

Well, this is strange. If I choose the UK store instead of the "Euro store" I can select Sweden as shipping country. I'll just go with that then.

Just tried logging into your account- everything seems OK. Shipping address shows as Sweden (you shouldnt have to reenter this as it is the default address)

BTW: Thanks for the extra order!

Good :)
My order history shows two orders with the billing address in Sweden (same as shipping address) so I suppose everything is going to be a-ok :)
Just out of interest, how many orders do you process every month? How many Amigas do you sell a year?
