it is very easy, just open editpad and open this file:
sys:S/startup-sequence ...
oh, you will get more help if you say what version OS you have... what I say applies to 3.9 ...

you can run a shell from workbench and type:
ed s:startup-sequence

What ever you do make a backup copy of the startup sequence just in case your edited version dont work properly .If i remember right havining not used an amiga now for over a year and half , the startup sequence is a text file so a text editor should be all you need ?.

And remember that standard "ed" which comes with AmigaOS has certain limit for line lenght. Sometimes it has cutted my very long blizkick line from startup-sequence
