Installer Question
« on: July 03, 2006, 01:54:35 AM »
Greetings all:

I am trying to install a package on my UAE emulator (to try it out before installing it to my machine).   This is beside the point, but it is an ANSI editor for my BBS project.   The installer complains - "can't open your tool 'installer'" when I try to run the installer.  I had heard of an updated installer tool, but don't know where to get it.

Also, if someone has knowledge of good easy to use ANSI editor other than Luminous (which is what I trying to install) please feel free to advise.

Hopefully someone can point me to the updated installer?

Thanks,

Usually that just means that the icon is saying that installer isn't there.

Edit the icon info and change the location (usually from c/installer) to "c:installer" (without the "s) and save it.

If it still complains then installer might be somewhere else in the path so just having "installer" might work.
