I'm not sure about the A1200 but I can't see any reason
why it shouldn't....

On the A1?  Yes!

not sure but i dont think mandrake 9.1 PPC will run on 1200 unless you get a special kernel and kernel drivers to support the 68 CPU. I recommend getting an ATI card because they co-operate ( opensource ? ) their driver and technology so that there cards are supported on more OS ( OS 4 etc) whereas nvidia will probably never offer suport for amigas so stick with ati RADEON just my opinon

And remember that most expensive is not necessarily the same as "has best support in Linux and AOS"...

I'm using a 7500, no problems. Many others are using 8x00, not too much fuss. Use 9x00 -> Gotta run latest and hottest of unstable software to get any support...

About Mandrake: If you manage to get it installed (cheating is ok, so you can install elsewhere and move over afterwards). The important bit is the kernel, which Mandrake can't give you anyway. Only amigaone-linux.sourceforge.net can help there...

Uhm.. ok. So, maybe i should consult GGS-Data
before i make my final descicion on the GFX-card.
Now for the Linux bit..
I checked out the sourceforge page you reffered to. But there were no downloads, and I didnt get it all.. Are they working to get Mandrake to run on AmigaOne? ... or.. what are they working for? Linux is already running on the AmigaOne.
I am not into Linux, but if you manage to get one PPC distro up and running, another one could still not work? (I.E Mandrake) Eh.. me clueless! =)
