Would it help you guys to stay on topic (the World Cup) if we had an 'Odin and Eyso's S&M thread' or something?

Judging by the replies it seems safe to assume not a lot of people care ;-).

Naughty move by that Italian guy though, smashing the American's eye.

No offence Rob, but it doesn't surprise me.

I saw a Scot wearing a Scottish rugby top the day after the Scots beat England a few months ago, he wandered into a pub down here in Maidstone - there were no comments from anyone, and this wasn't the nicest pub in town; I thought at the time, if I were to walk into a pub in Glasgow wearing an England top  the day after we beat the Scots, it would be an entirely different story...

Its a complex subject though, as all the flag-waving and hype that England football supporters seem to get engaged in is just as bad, and then there's the history of the UK...but at the end of the day, some of us have moved on!

Furthermore, I've got stick on a number of occasions for wearing a French football top...I don't get it. Everyone and their aunt seems to wear Brazil shirts, and no-on bats an eyelid..

I'm guessing this was from English people?
(Most Scots are quite fond of the French - "Auld Alliance" and all that...)
