New Amiga Mp3 site, Original tunes as Mp3
« on: June 07, 2006, 12:02:49 AM »
Hi people, Great amiga site by the way.

Just wanted you Amiga fans to know that I have a section of my site that has classic Amiga tunes rehashed into Mp3s. The site also has a quick preview feature first, before you download the track. More Mp3s will be added when I get the time.

My sites here below, enjoy!
Amiga Mp3s

Regards
Chris  :-D

Download doesn't seem to work with IBrowse 2.3, at least.

Since I can't listen to them right now, how did you remix them? Added something new, better instruments or?

I think would be a cool alternative to your the crazy frog ringtones etc.
Your favourite amiga game as a ringtone!!

The 'Top Gun' style F18 Interceptor game music..takes me back!

Maybe even add some of the classic 'pirate' intro music that many of the amiga floppy games have

Yeah sorry does support IBrowse 2.3 i think, the site was built for IE5+, firefox etc. The main stream web browsers.

Can Ibrowse download zip files? If it can then it shouldn't be a problem?

The tracks aren't really remixed as such, mostly as close to the original as i can get. However I have enhanced the bloody money in game track. And will do so to a few others.

I leave the remixing to amigaremix sites etc.

Its a high quality wav file I record, then using Sony's Soundforge I tweak it and save it as Mp3.

Tazzy -

I love that fa18 track too, it was such an advanced game in its day.

Yes great as ring tones if your phone supports it.

I have my ring tone set too Flashback's Option menu song.:-D Great track!

I get a few interesting looks sometimes. Maybe becasue its not the crazyfrog or they might be thinking were have i heard that tune?

Ah. You record directly from the analog output of a real miggy?

Ever tried to convert the mods to mp3 directly with uade? It should give you better quality before postprocessing.

uade -outpipe 1 mod.something > something.raw

This generates raw 16bit 44100Hz sample that can be processed further.

The links in the Pinball Dreams group are a bit wrong...

They all point to pd-menue.zip, instead of pd-intro.zip, pd-ignition.zip etc.

The archives do exist there though... ;-)

Edit: The last 2 links are ok! ;-)

I think there is something wrong with Flashback - Intro B mp3. Its duration is 4:50 but there is only about 30 seconds of the music, then silence all the way to the end.

Anyway, very good job! Keep it up!

The site is very well designed, only one thing bothers me. Amiga was written with small "a" but as it's the name (errmm.. THE Name ;)) it would better to write as "Amiga". Using italic fonts could even more reach the spirit but please take these as positive comments.
Like the site, really.

Keep up the good work
