Asst. WebMaster moving on.
« on: May 02, 2003, 12:00:43 AM »
I have both happy and sad news to bring to everyone this afternoon.  Yet, before the question is put forth, I will state that I will still be here helping Wayne in whatever capacity that I can.

>---  Announcement ---<
Because of the continued success of MorphZone , Genesi has secured a position for me, Dave Crawford (Targhan), within Genesi SARL as part of their community-outreach efforts.

Due to this shift in my employment, I feel that I can no longer objectivly moderate forum posts on Amiga.org.  I will continue to help Wayne in other capacities on Amiga.org, such as within the gallery, downloads, ect.  However, in the absence of obscenity, out-right abuse, or other severe misconduct, I will no longer moderate posts in the forums.

Sincerly,
Targhan, asst. Webmaster
Regards,
Targhan

Thanks guys!

One of my first projects is to put together things for AmiWest.  I am hoping to do things to make things as fun as possible.  I hope I can do a great job :-)

I would also like to take a moment to remind everyone (doesn't matter if you wear red or blue underwear) to please continue to have John Zackarias in your hearts.  John has done much for this community, and I would love for Amiga.org to do something special for him.

Regards,
Targhan

Well, according to the SACC website, John is in the hospital again.  It would be nice if someone from Amiga.org could bring him a book on tape or something.  He was responsable for AmiWest in the first place, and the author of AEMail.

I'm not sure how to get something arranged, but I would like to do something nice for him--but from all of us.
Regards,
Targhan

Dave,

Let me be amongst the many to congratulate you on landing such an assignment.  It's nice to know that someone out there appreciates the work done by a freelance to support their community.

You've been a great help to me here.  More than anyone will ever know and while I understand your position, I would still welcome your input as a friend and now a contemporary.

See you at AmiWest.
