Powermonger save game issue
« on: May 28, 2006, 02:29:24 AM »
Hi,

I'm very new to this emulation thing, but back when I had my Mac I spent all my time on Powemonger, so I'm now running that on MaxUAE on OSX , and I've found I can't save as it keeps telling me that my disk is write protected. Can anyone help? It works fine otherwise, (except no sound! grrrr)

Thanks,

Chris

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

I played powermonger on winuae a few yeats ago, and the sound was great.  Is there any particular reason for you not having sound emulation?  Actually, I preferred playing on winuae to a real amiga.

I vaguely remember a save game issue.  It seems that the game had a strange format for its save game disc (see here).  When I played it, I think I was able to download a special save game disc, maybe from back2roots website (which now appears to have died).  I guess if someone made a real save game disc, from an amiga, and then made it into an adf, it might work.  I'm only guessing though, and can't really remember clearly how I did it before.

Good luck, and maybe some other members can offer you more help.
Good good study, day day up!
