Can this software distributor rescue the bankrupt YellowTab?

======================================

Magnussoft now worldwide distributor of ZETA

22. May 2006

A new distribution partner for the alternative operating system ZETA OS has been announced. The worldwide distribution rights for the ambitious Operating system have been granted to Magnussoft Germany. This also means that the continuation and future of operating system ZETA, despite the problems of yellowTAB GmbH, has now been secured.
A first production run to satisfy the increasing demand for version 1.2 has already been initiated. The first copies from this run should arrive at existing dealers within a couple of days.
Magnussoft Germany® has been a successful software distributor in European territories for the past decade and is a well known name in the software industry. Magnussoft will use its expertise and existing channels for software distribution to grow the market for ZETA and hopes to attract many new users to the platform. ZETA v1.2 is operating at a unheard of speed. Many improvements and additions have been made since version 1.1 and have created a growing demand for this alternative Operating system.

Do they need to?

I kind of like having the thing change hands when the previous owners turn out to be incompetant in managing it. Hundreds of thousands of sales and they can't make a profit? Send in the next owners!

Better than buying a motorcycle anyway.

For at least some of those sales, they weren't receiving payment.  I think this was just a problem with a Japanese distributor, but can't remember the details.  I think they changed distribution for Japan.
Good good study, day day up!

> Japanese Distributor

Is there any similar problems between Haage P, Bernie and Amiga Inc?

From news archive:

January 2006 - YellowTAB Terminates Distributor Agreement with Berry Japan
This is to announce that yellowTAB GmbH has decided to terminate its ZETA distributor agreement with Berry Japan Inc. (CEO: Akihiro Ooba; www.berry-japan.co.jp; also known as Berry OS Japan). yellowTAB's decision to terminate the distributor agreement comes as a result of a long standing material breach of contract on the part of Berry Japan. Over the last six months, we have made continued efforts to assist Berry Japan in fulfilling their contractual obligations with yellowTAB, including offering alternative payment arrangements, but we have so far been unable to collect any payment for all product shipped to Berry Japan in 2005.
