Wisconsin, Illinois users?
« on: May 16, 2006, 08:52:33 PM »
Hey, I was toying with the idea of starting a new Amiga usergroup - I noticed there are a few Amiga users in Wisconsin, and I'm on the WI/IL border.

Anyone else in this area interested?
Amiga 3000 w/Mercury 68040 35mhz, ethernet
Amiga 1200 w/GVP Turbo+ II, and 1291 SCSI, 2mb chipram, 8mb fastram
Amiga 2000 as games machine in my living room :/

Sure thing. I live about an hour and a quarter from Chicago. Will be moving to Chicago later this summer.

This user is also in the area: http://bitbybitsoftwaregroup.com/index.php

SWRAP has been serving the C64 enthusiasts in the area since 1983, and we'd love to meet some of our Amiga kin.  In fact, our treasurer was using an A2000 as his main system until 1996, and I just recently got my hands on an A500 with a 40MHz accelerator that I wish I had more time to mess around with.  I know people have had issues getting to our meetings downtown in the past, but starting this month (May 21st), every other meeting will now be held at my home in Lombard, IL.

If you're interested in attending, hit the contact page at csixty4.com and drop me an email for the address.

SWRAP would like to extend an invitation to our fellow classic computing fans in the Chicago area.  Join us for a barbecue this July 9th in Lombard, IL. to celebrate the summer!

Our July monthly meeting has been moved to club president Dave Ross's back yard, where our talented *cough* chefs will be grilling up burgers and hot dogs while we discuss what's going on with our favorite retro platforms.

Please RSVP at http://www.swrap.org/contact.php -- please let us know your phone number or email address so we can give you the address.  If enough people are coming, we will probably move the event to a local park instead.

SWRAP has been serving Chicago's Commodore 64/128 users since January, 1983 and starting in 2006 Amiga users have found a home with us too!
