Hi -
I would strongly suggest that you go to AMINET.NET and search "coin battery" and find LithBatt.LHA  This gives
detailed directions on how to do this hack.

You must use a diode / rectifier to make sure power does
NOT flow back into the battery when the power is on.  This can cause the battery to explode (BAD THING). The download has a diagram but from memory not sure which way was (+).
Check your old battery.

I ordered all my parts (SCHOTTKY RECTIFIER, 1A 20 VOLT)
Catalog#1N5817 from www.allelectronics.com
Also the battery holder, solderwing wick, battery holder (BH-60) for cheap.

You have to make double sure the diode is soldered in the correct way/direction.  I used a hot glue gun to attach the holder to the mobo.

Have fun - be careful

I found a better way.
You can now find a coin battery that is rechargable so I should just be able to install that in the holder without any other additions right? (I found the direct replacement 2032 MiMH rechargable 3.6 volt coin battery).
