mediator graphic

this is really getting me down now
i have installed an mediator 1200 sx, if i go into medication it shows my gaphics card is present. the instructions that are on the cd tell me to put a line in the startup C:cpu nodatacache. problem is when this line is in my system hangs in dos and goes no further.
without the line my system boots and the virge card sends a single as the svga screen comes up greenish.
i have loaded picasso and drivers as per instruction, my virge 0 board is present, in screenmode my different virge settings are there, however if i test in either picasso or screenmode my system freezes and svga monitor attempts to do something but nothing happens, i have tried all different mediator board jumper settings but no joy.
I would appreciate any help as i have spent 38hrs on this now and feel like selling the lot??

Take a look at thread #  28301. No solution but might get you a bit further.

I donno if this is the prob or not but:
Mediator S3 Virge drivers suck.
They are quite buggy.
You may have much better luck with Voodoo3 3000.

I use a Voodoo 3, this is far better than any virge card, and have you got the latest updates from elbox?
You may need them.

I am biiding for a voodoo on ebay, in the meantime if anyone has a mediator with a virge card installed i would be greatfull to know how you installed it

Ok, all DOS drivers are set correct, the Info in the DOS drivers is also correct.
Now I end up with the Zip shown, OK so far.
Inserted Zip disk and Ok.
SO WHen I open the Zip to copy something into in, it does so, then after I get the error message on my screen saying "Program failed (error #80000004) Wait for disk activity to finish.

Then I give a mouse click and it all freezes.
Sod this for a game of soldiers I will just disconnect it and leave it like that.
I have tried just about every thing and I cant just get it to work without any problems, it should never be this way.

Yeah, Virge sucks. Get Voodoo3 for example.
I have tried several Virges and Voodoos on MediatorZIV and all Virges had more or more problems. I only got one Virge to work by disabling one tooltype, but then it was slow... way too slow.. slower than CV64/3D (Virge) on ZorroII-bus. From other Virges I didn't even get proper image out... only garbage if that. All tested Voodoo3:s have worked.

thanks, ill wait till the voodoo arrives, and won't loose anymore sleep over it.
Anyway i can spend more time trying to get my sb128 to work with my mixer.library problem, im glad I did not have to pay for a seperate MMCD from elbox as i am disappointed by what does not work on it like my mixer drivers and AHI, although its prob me.

PS Does os4 work on cyberstorm or blizzard PPC a1200 upgrades, if yes where do you buy OS4 from??

Any joy getting the SB to work? I have the same problem, SB128, AHI and ghost mixer. I can't get it to load on boot, ghost mixer won't save any settings, help??

i bought a voodoo and it works first time. As for the SB128 no matter what i load it comes up with the mixer.library problem, i have asked elbox and am awaiting a reply but if anyones know the answer ??

I recall having similar problems with my Mediator : this guide is quite useful

Although you are not specific with the mixer.library problem it could be down to MUI so ensure that is installed on your system.

Now my Mediator is working it is great as I can surf the net and the Spider card is a fantastic addition as you can use usb functionality.
